The start of my HR career
This is where it all began. Touching all aspects of the HR flywheel, it’s in this first HR role that I discovered my natural ability to connect with others and build trust. I later discovered that this talent has a name: relational intelligence.

Finding my niche.
This 6-month contract made it clear to me that I wanted the remainder of my HR career to focus on creating amazing work cultures that drive exceptional work performance, and that I wanted to do it in an agile, fast-paced, and creative work environment. Let’s just leave it at that. 😜
Urgences-santé is the statutory public emergency medical service for the islands of Montreal and Laval, Quebec. It’s one of the largest paramedical services in Canada.

Building an HR function from the ground up
My mission at Triton Digital was to create and sustain an organizational culture that drives high performance and collaboration.
When I started, there were no HR functions in place; I build the HR department from the ground up. I managed all HR functions once they were in place including performance management, talent acquisition & onboarding, employee relations, and learning & development. I helped shape the employee experience while fostering a positive work environment, and ensured our HR approach and strategies were aligned with the overall vision and goals for the organization.
I also was a key player in the organization’s adoption of agility as I worked closely with the product and development teams and leadership, helping pivot the HR approach and mindset to a modern and engaging function that fosters employee engagement. This important business transformation forever changed my approach and way of doing HR and made me discover Officevibe, a Workleap product.

From HR to Product
Coaching leaders of all levels to build cultures of engagement that lead to high performance had been a central part of my work for many years. And discovering Officevibe and Workleap (formerly GSoft) presented me with the opportunity to take the leap with a radically different role: applying my HR expertise to building HR products.
With research at the core of my role, my mission at Workleap was to inform the product strategy and leverage my HR expertise to build content that solves real-life people and business problems in a human and caring way.
My work touched on 4 main areas:
Workleap is a Canadian company that builds an ecosystem of powerfully simple employee and digital experience software. All over the world, businesses use their products to do their best work.

Provide strategic guidance to product teams on HR best practices for existing and new product verticals and create product-specific content such as templates, messaging, and suggested actions that add value to product users.

Lead the research practice and conduct quantitative and qualitative research with customers that support new product initiatives, understanding customer usage and market trends.

Keep abreast of the latest trends in the HR market by scanning industry articles, secondary research and attending industry webinars and conferences and continuously share insights to internal teams.

Act as the market-facing spokesperson for the company at industry events, webinars and customer events. Host of Vibe Check, Workleap's podcast for HR pros, managers and business leaders.

From Product to Consulting
Because taking the leap became a second nature for me (taking the leap is one of Workleap’s core values), I decided it was time for me to take a new challenge: share my expertise with SMB owners and leaders who understand that their success depends on engaged employees. And so I founded my own boutique HR consulting shop, Cactus 83.
